Fractional Derivatives, Fractional Integrals, and Fractional Differential Equations in Matlab
The term fractional calculus is more than 300 years old. It is a generalization of the ordinary differentiation and integration to non-integer (arbitrary) order. The subject is as old as the calculus of differentiation and goes back to times when Leibniz, Gauss, and Newton invented this kind of calculation. In a letter to L’Hospital in 1695 Leibniz raised the following question (Miller and Ross...
متن کاملLegendre Wavelets for Solving Fractional Differential Equations
In this paper, we develop a framework to obtain approximate numerical solutions to ordinary differential equations (ODEs) involving fractional order derivatives using Legendre wavelets approximations. The continues Legendre wavelets constructed on [0, 1] are utilized as a basis in collocation method. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the techn...
متن کاملSolutions for some non-linear fractional differential equations with boundary value problems
In recent years, X.J.Xu [1] has been proved some results on mixed monotone operators. Following the paper of X.J.Xu, we study the existence and uniqueness of the positive solutions for non-linear differential equations with boundary value problems.
متن کاملExistence results for hybrid fractional differential equations with Hilfer fractional derivative
This paper investigates the solvability, existence and uniqueness of solutions for a class of nonlinear fractional hybrid differential equations with Hilfer fractional derivative in a weighted normed space. The main result is proved by means of a fixed point theorem due to Dhage. An example to illustrate the results is included.
